Dividing Vetteberget into Stora and Lilla Vetteberget lies the unique Kungsklyftan, also known as Ramneklovan. This dramatic gorge is notable for its “roof” formed by a wedged rock. Its royal name, “King’s Gorge,” comes from King Oscar II’s visit in 1887, where he famously signed the rock wall.

Adding to its mystique, Kungsklyftan was also a filming location for scenes from the beloved Swedish classic “Ronja Rövardotter” (Ronja the Robber’s Daughter)!

Hiking the Vettebergsleden and Kuststigen:

Kungsklyftan is an integral part of the Vettebergsleden, an urban hiking loop that winds up Vetteberget and around the community. Getting There:

Vetteberget is conveniently located in the center of Fjällbacka. A great starting point for your ascent is Ingrid Bergman’s Torg, where you can find food and drinks before or after your hike. From the E6, take exit 163 towards Fjällbacka at Grindmotet to reach this beautiful destination.
